What is West Cobb Business Association?
West Cobb is a distinct community with its own recreational sports, businesses, schools, parks, churches and shopping centers. It is unique in that it spans several different cities including: Acworth, Dallas, Hiram, Kennesaw, Marietta, and Powder Springs.
The West Cobb Business Association (WCBA) was established to fill a need in unincorporated West Cobb. With the community as the center of our focus, we build partnerships with our schools, churches, residents, and businesses throughout our area of influence.
As members of the WCBA, we know that if we invest in our community, our community will invest in our businesses.
- To establish an open line of communication between businesses, residents,
schools, churches, and the local government
- To work toward improving the business conditions in West Cobb
- To meet and network with other business owners & managers in the community
- To give back to our neighborhood by participating in and initiating community events and fund-raisers
Partnering for the Future
The West Cobb Business Association is growing at a record pace. The WCBA leadership and committee members are focused on creating a better quality of life in our community.
A Message from the 2014 President...
I am honored to have been selected as the 2014 President of West Cobb Business Association. This position comes with very big shoes to fill, and I am definitely up to the task. I look forward to building relationships within WCBA, and to helping you get involved!
Our goal is to expand on the many pilot programs that were such a success in 2013, making them even bigger hits in 2014. Being involved in our events, sponsorships, and community projects has always been my goal as a member, and I plan to help our membership find ways to get involved.
WCBA ongoing events include Monthly Luncheons; First Tuesday Networking at Nite; Weekly Open Networking, Closed Networking, and B2B Strategic Alliance groups; and Membership Appreciation Breakfasts. Annual events include West Cobb Community Expo, Taste of West Cobb, Cobb Chamber EXPO, Summer J.A.M., and October Haunt. This year we will expand on the 2013 pilot programs, including West Cobb Leads Exchange every 2nd Tuesday, WCBA Family Picnic, and Speed Networking. In 2014, we will increase our involvement with our school systems and we plan to officially launch our West Cobb Future Business Leaders. West Cobb Business Association has so much to offer, and there is even more to come!
Our organization is strong with over 200 members and growing, yet we still have a close family feel. We invite you to join us for one of our many events and we would love to include you in the West Cobb Business Association family.
